​Where do I register for the taikai when I arrive?

If you stay at the Clarion Sign hotel, after check in please go up one (1) floor from the hotel lobby and you will find us.
For training Friday and Saturday, enter at our own entrence to the right of the main hotel entrence (if you didn't register on Friday and/or don't stay at the hotel).

Is there a dresscode for the evening 19th of august?

​Yes! Or... we recommend at least Smart Casual to our cosy dinner.

How do I find the training area on arrival?

We have our own entrance for the Taikai next to the main entrence where you will se signs telling you that you found it. For those that stay in the hotel, please don't go to the groundfloor (lobby) and go throught the bar/restaurant, exit the elevator on 1st floor and walk through the conference area and then 1 floor down and you will access the training area directly.

What training equipment should I bring?

Please do bring a Bo-staffa and Bokken to the event.  No metal or sharp weapons is allowed, this will be taken away from you. Padded weapons is recommended.

Is lunch included in the price?

​No, there is several restaurants close to the hotel and a list will be provided at registration in the hotel or on this site.

Can I bring my own drinks?

​No, you can only purhcase what you want to drink at the hotel. Water will be provided during training and ofcourse you can bring your own waterbottle.

Can I bring my own food?

No, you can only purhcase what you want to eat at the hotel. Own food can only be eaten outside the hotel premises.

I haven't booked a hotel room, is it possible to shower at the training area after training?

​No, there is no showers available. If you wan't to freshen up a bit before dinner or quickly after training there is tiolets available just outside the training room.

I have food allergies, what do I need to do?

If you didn't tell us during registration, tell us now at once so we can inform the kitchen.

I want to change my hotel booking, how do I do?

Contact the hotel directly on any conserns regarding your acommodation.

​How can I access the SPA at the hotel?

​Contact the hotel directly. Please be aware that the SPA is normally fully booked on weekends so be sure to be on time. And note that SPA access, if available, is charged additional to the room fee.

Is there parking close to the hotel?

​Yes, even in garage under the hotel. But know that parking in Stockholm is expensive

do i need to wear a mask due to Covid during the event?

There is no demand to wear a mask due to Covid during the event.

I intend to try the godan test, what do I need to do?

You need to inform us in advance and send a copy of your 4th Dan certificate to rikard.sundelius@bushin.se
You also need to bring ID-card to verify your name on the certificate.
The 4th Dan certificate should be minimum 1 year old.
When you have sent the copy to Rikard you will get additional information and stuff you should prepare.

Can I film the event and take photos?

No, we have a photographer and film cre organized.

What is included in dinner?

There is a 3-course dinner served at the tables and in addition you will have a welcome drink upon arriwal. Naturally there will be non-alcoholic alternatives. We will have a private bar and all that you wish to drink to the food can be purhased at the bar on your own expence. Historically we how found this alternative being the best to keep the dinner price at a good level and for participants to choose more freely what to have during dinner.

I want to take the opportunety to say hi to noguchi sensei, can i do that?

To respect the time and energy of Noguchi Sensei we will not allow you to approach him unlesss he asks you over or if he takes the initiative to approach you.
